San Diego Largest Lunar New Year Festival at SDCCU stadium
Tue, Jan 7, 1:33 PM (17 hours ago)
First, I would like to take a moment to cordially invite you to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Annual Lunar New Year Festival. This year, the traditional Opening Ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM with reception/networking starting at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the prestigious venue of SDCCU Stadium. I understand last year’s weather wasn’t in our favor, but I have a feeling this year will be perfect!
This year marks our 10th anniversary of the largest Lunar New Year Festival in San Diego. The festival will kick off the celebration of the important Asian holiday and bring festive cheer and prosperity to San Diego. It features dazzling lanterns, bands, lion dances, firecrackers, and a very large selection of Asian food; as well as our highly anticipated Cultural Village, aims to bring you back in time to experience with reenactment of the beautiful and distinctive life in a village of South East Asia. The prices are good, and the quality is excellent.
People of all ages can attend this festival and feel proud they are supporting a San Diego district in much need of improvements while also contributing to an increased awareness of the cultural features that make San Diego such a unique place to live, work, and do business. Proceeds from the festival will be used in the revitalization efforts of the Little Saigon District of City Heights. 2020 festival proceeds will be used toward the design and implementation of the community Boat Garden.
Secondly, I would like to urge you to lend us a hand by supporting this good cause. Your support can come in many forms such as monetary or in-kind sponsorship, vendor, or supporter. Example, we kindly request that you to share this flyer with friends and family. If just 10 people see this flyer and attend the festival, you have helped us come $60 closer to fulfilling our mission. Much work remains to be done before we attain our goals, but your help and support make a difference in our efforts to revitalize the Little Saigon District.
